ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL 5: Gender equality and women’s empowerment

As Pakistan is a third world country so they face a lot of issues regarding equality. Gender imbalances are still profound established in each society. Ladies experience the lack of access to decent of absence of admittance to respectable work and face word related segregation and gender wage gaps. In many circumstances, they are denied admittance to fundamental instruction and medical services and are survivors of savagery and segregation. They are under-represented in political and economic decision-making processes. Men’s doesn’t accept that women can stand by their side and work along with them. They feel pleasure to suppress and order them. Currently we’re living in 21st century so each individual should be given equal and basic rights no discrimination should be accepted.

Pakistan is among one of those countries who have shown commendable commitment to the 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development. Pakistan was one of the first countries to endorse it globally in 2015 while in 2016, Parliament of Pakistan unanimously passed the resolution of approving Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) as the national agenda.

With the point of better address to these difficulties and to distinguish a solitary perceived driver to lead and organize UN exercises on gender correspondence issues, UN Women was set up in 2010.

UN Women works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls, strengthening of ladies, and accomplishment of fairness among ladies and men as accomplices and recipients of improvement, common liberties, humanitarian action and harmony and security.

We also owe it to young men who are growing up all over the world in situations where they didn’t make the choice to be a man in a culture that tells them that manhood is a certain way. They didn’t make the choice. We that have a choice, have an opportunity and a responsibility to them as well

Now here is the biggest question? Will we be able to provide gender equality to the people till 2030? What we need to change?

Gender equality can be achieved when we educate our sons and daughters that why each gender equality is important and no one should be discouraged. We should set awareness programs in each school to train children and educate them that we’re all equal in different capacity that women can do can’t be performed by man.

Media is doing miracles all social workers should held different seminars to educate about gender. Our government should support women in higher authorities this will help to minimize gender discrimination.

Summarizing, all gender is capable in the roles which our creator have provided us. So all should respect every gender and women should be accepted with high empowerment and authorities.
